Well - the restoration has begun. In the side by side photos above we see the sanctuary as it appeared in 1896 - and the beautiful stained glass window that has recently been revealed during the process of making repairs to the roof of the semi-dome at the rear of the church.

Since it the window - although cracked and missing some lead - appeared to be restorable, it was decided to remove the drapery and wood panels that had hidden this window for almost half-a-century.
